Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of diamond should I buy?

A diamond that will stand the test of time and one that is as perfect as can be. We suggest cut standards in the color grades of D to F for diamonds. In clarity grades we recommend Flawless to VVS for diamonds. Your preference of price will decide the exact grade of the Diamond.

How do I know I'm getting a real diamond?

Our entire loose diamond inventory is GIA certified. It is one of the most reputable diamond grading laboratories in the world. For Diamond Jewellery, the certificate from internationally acclaimed Gemological Institute, IGI, will help you to confirm that they are real.

What does a diamond certificate have?

The information you’ll find in your diamond grading certificate will be the 4 C’s; color, clarity, carat and cut. The dimensions and shape of the diamond will be presented in detail within the report, as well as the measurements, table and depth percentages and the polish and symmetry inherent within the stone. Your report should also contain a comprehensive section on any imperfections, fluorescence and graining within the stone and come complete with a detailed sketch of your diamond.

Is a diamond a good investment?

Zella Diamonds recommend you purchase a diamond because you love it. Given that diamond prices have been increasing for the last 15-20 years, it is unlikely that diamonds will ever lose their value. Diamonds can be the best way to express your commitment to another. Rather they are the most beautiful gifts for yourselves.
